This user guide will help you install everything required to run stable diffusion locally through web-ui. You will not need an API key or need to pay any credits for creating your own AI generated images. So you are free to run this program as many times as your machine will allow.
Before you download this game please ensure your computer meets the minimum requirements.
- 8gb of Ram but it would be advised to get 16gb as some features won’t work or be limited.
- A Dedicated GPU - Nvidia Maxwell (GTX 7XX) or newer GPU at least 2GB of VRAM
- Windows 7/8/10+ - We used 10 for this guide
- 20GB of disk space – majority of the download space is for the model
Please note not all Nvidia GPUs are compatible with stable diffusion and some may throw issues, errors or even run out of vram. This guide is designed to setup stable diffusion on your windows machine, it will aid you through the process but it can not force a GPU to work.
If your GPU does not work you can check online to see if it is compatible or look at upgrading your GPU to a card that is compatible.
